Annabelle 1st Birthday
In the past year, you have made me so proud to call you my daughter.
I am inspired by you. I am stronger for knowing you. I have hope for your health and life. I am learning everyday patience, tenderness, complete unconditional love. I feel so much joy sharing all the time we do together. You have been an angel in my life, someone who touch the very core of my being and cured me of all my insecurities, all my unworthiness, all my personality issues, the love I feel for you has filled me with the level of peace and happiness I never experianced before.
I have been present for you every second of your life. I enjoy every moment even the crying, poop everywhere and now the yelling in the car ride home. I do not take anything for granted these days.
As I watch you grow and learn with the help of our therapist; I have see you become more ambitious. You have a drive and passion an excitement to learn. I am impressed by your ability to be so aware of your surroundings. You may not know how to speak yet but you know how to communicate all of your ranges of emotions from sleepy, hungry, happy, cranky too excited and scared. You are the most beautiful creature that has ever existed in my life. You are an angel trapped in the body of my baby girl, your loving happy energy extends far beyond you and radiates. I have not yet met a stranger who hasn't commented on how beautiful, amazing and wondrous you are my little Annabelle Moon.
It is an honor to stand by your side and bear witness to the miracle that walks beside me, that holds my hand, that smiles and laughs and teaches me so much.
You are my little master divine goddess warrior who was sent to teach me what the most valuable and important things in life. You my daughter are my forever home, you live in my heart, just as I live in your heart. You are a little piece of my soul and we are connected far beyond our bodies. I will love you to the moon and back forever.
Happy 1st Birthday.

The lotus tree
While the lotus flower is certainly a real thing, the lotus tree has been appearing in various mythologies for a long time. And considering it has passed through multiple cultures, the stories about the tree vary wildly. The Greeks had perhaps one of the strangest versions. In the Greek myth, there's a young goddess named Lotus, and she ends up turning into a tree to protect herself from the unwanted sexual advances of another a god named Priapus.
The fruit from the lotus tree also appears in Homeric legends when Odysseus and his men happen upon the land of the Lotus Eaters. When these men ate the fruit from the tree, it was so good that it made them forget everything that was important to them in life. This myth led to the creation of the term "Lotus Eater" to describe people who live a decadent lifestyle, but otherwise have vapid and meaningless lives.
The lotus name itself has a lot of significance in many religious beliefs, and has been mentioned in conjunction with God as well. Some myths claim that there is a lotus tree at the right hand of God in heaven. Additionally, some myths attribute symbolic importance to the idea of the tree and the presence of the divine—essentially, the symbol of God above a lotus shows how the divine can overcome the material world.
